Our guide for you to enjoy Lake Atitlán

This is an itinerary that we consider pleasant so that you can have a good visit to Lake Atitlán.

To get to Lake Atitlán, you will have to take a bus to Sololá; if you are in the city, the journey could take up to 4 hours. If you are in Antigua Guatemala it could take up to 3 hours.

Upon arriving in Sololá, you must buy another bus ticket to go down to Panajachel, from this point the experience of the majesty of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world begins.

We recommend that you leave as early as possible, it will take you most of the morning to get to Panajachel, so the first thing you should do, as when arriving anywhere, is look for a hotel and settle in a place that fits your budget.

The closer you want to stay to the lake, the prices increase, so we recommend that you look for something near Calle Santander, because it will give you the advantage of being able to walk on this street, one of the busiest for tourists arriving in the country.

In the afternoon you can reach the shore of the lake and enjoy the sunset, it will be in front of you, take as much time as you want enjoying this spectacle of nature.

At night you can walk without any worry on Calle Santander, discovering night entertainment places that you will find along the street.

If you want to see other places around the lake you can use the boats that are located on the lake at the end of Santander, you can access other places such as San Pedro La Laguna or San Lucas Tolimán.
